Accounting is much more than spreadsheets.
For Lawrence, it’s all about relationships.
He has a world of experience, from Philosophy to Accounting, to make your life less taxing.
Lawrence Jeong, CPA, was born in Seoul, Korea, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. He then planned to move to Germany to further his education with a Ph.D.
However, he traveled to Australia to visit family. During those six months, he had an epiphany to follow a career that could help people. Lawrence was thinking of the medical or financial industries and realized that Accounting was the perfect fit for his skill set. He had enjoyed working on accounting and tax projects in the past and knew that most people need help with their tax issues.
That’s when he relocated to the Pacific Northwest, earning his Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Oregon’s Charles H. Lundquist College of Business.
Next, he traveled south to San Francisco to begin his career as a Certified Public Accountant. Over a 20-year span, Mr. Jeong rose from Accountant and Audit Supervisor to Senior Tax Manager at three national and local accounting firms: Shea Labagh Dobberstein, RSM, and RINA Accountancy (formerly known as Sterck Kulik O’Neill).
Then, because he always dreamed of being a business owner, Lawrence hung up his own shingle in early 2019 as Lawrence Jeong, CPA. His office is located in the popular Mission Bay neighborhood, adjacent to the home of the San Francisco Giants and near the new Chase Center for the Golden State Warriors.
